UCJ's Accreditation Review Team to visit the Campus March 16-18

The UWI, Mona Campus

The UWI, Mona will host the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) Review Team from March 16 to 18, 2026, as they conduct a site visit for the Campus’ Institutional Re-accreditation.  Accreditation is a vital process that validates our institutional quality, ensuring that we consistently meet and uphold the highest standards of academic excellence.
The UWI, Mona first earned Institutional Accreditation in 2012 and was subsequently granted a maximum seven-year re-accreditation in 2019. Under the 2026 review cycle, the evaluation team is expected to engage with a broad cross-section of campus stakeholders to verify information presented in our Comprehensive Self-Study Report through a series of integrated activities. They will attend meetings, do tours, and review core processes, systems and documentation. The assessors may also conduct informal drop-in sessions to hear firsthand about your experiences. The success of this review depends on our collective effort to showcase the excellent work of our university, as these discussions play an important role in demonstrating institutional effectiveness, academic quality, and our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
All members of the Campus community are encouraged to support this important exercise by staying informed and participating in scheduled engagements. Your cooperation is vital as we work collectively to achieve our 2026 Institutional Re-Accreditation and reinforce The UWI, Mona's legacy of excellence.
