The UWI Mona will participate in the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, scheduled for June 14 to 18 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
The conference, organised by the Government of Jamaica, will bring together leaders and stakeholders from the diaspora, government, academia, civil society, media and the private sector under the theme, “Diaspora Partnerships: Rebuilding a More Climate-Resilient Jamaica.”
The UWI Mona’s participation will focus on strengthening diaspora engagement, reconnecting with alumni, exploring partnership opportunities, and highlighting The University’s role in advancing Caribbean expertise, research, leadership and global impact.
Representatives from UWISTAR, the UWI Development and Endowment Fund, the Mona School of Business and Management, the International Students Office and the American Foundation for The University of the West Indies will operate from Booth MEX-15.
Members of the Mona community attending the conference are encouraged to visit the booth, direct relevant contacts to the team, and support The University’s coordinated presence.
Members of the Mona community are also encouraged to look out for the official UWI Mona social media posts related to the conference and to share them across their networks, including alumni, partners, students, colleagues and friends of The University. This will help amplify The University’s presence and extend the reach of the activation beyond the conference floor.
The activation forms part of UWI Mona’s wider effort to strengthen diaspora relationships, amplify institutional visibility, and showcase Caribbean excellence with global impact.
