Banner Student

We are in the process of implementing the application Banner Student as our new student information system. This is a module of the application from the Sungard Higher education products and is widely used throughout the world.

The system will allow students to :

• Register online - (has been in place for some time)
• Check exam results
• Full check on biography data
• Check registration status and outstanding business

Banner Finance

This is another module of the same Banner system we are planning to use for student information. It is deployed throughout the bursarial functions and in a limited way is used throughout the Campus for preparing and authorizing departmental purchases.

Banner Xtender Solutions

Banner XtenderSolutions is an imaging and document management solution suite that launches documents and content directly from Banner. It also provides secure access to information and materials related to other U.W.I. systems, even those of other vendors.
Banner XtenderSolutions is specifically designed for higher education. This client/server and web-based solution provides imaging, document management, data capture, storage management, and output capture and report management for individual departments and for the entire institution. The power of EMC’s XtenderSolutions and the tight integration with Banner make it an easy choice for Banner institutions such as U.W.I. Mona.
Banner XtenderSolutions is the key to simple information management at U.W.I. Mona and the ideal complement to Banner Finance and Banner Student which are other enterprise systems being used at UWI Mona. Banner XtenderSolutions incorporates administrative solutions and Workflow. Currently, the product is being implemented as a stand-alone application, with the intentions to integrate into Banner and other Enterprise Systems being used at U.W.I. Mona.
With Banner XtenderSolutions, U.W.I. Mona aims to:

• Easily capture and organize any kind of electronic documents
• Link documents to information in Banner
• View documents directly from Banner or outside of Banner
• Create custom document collections without customization services or programming
• Capture data from paper and faxes into Banner with sophisticated record matching
• Distribute documents in client/server and Web-based environments
• Automatically capture and index any letters, billing statements, reports or other output
• Use virtualized storage and automatic archival and back-up of managed content
• Integrate seamlessly with other campus Enterprise Applications (EA’s)
