CELCAT software is used by persons who are responsible for creating timetables. CELCAT is used to assist in the increasingly complex task. CELCAT relieves them of some of the chores involve in organizing staff, students and rooms into a workable timetable.

Some of the most useful features of CELCAT include recording timetable information, resolving clashes and advising on availability and suitable resources.  These features allow the CELCAT user to make planning decisions.

CELCAT is a Windows –based, multi-user   timetabling and room booking system. It maintains scheduling and supplemental information on modules rooms, staff, students, students groups, room inventories, room categories, departments, sites, travel times constrains and more.

CELCAT employs comprehensive and rapid clash-checking to give ease to timetabling, and can provide multi-user access to timetable files over a network. Timetables can be printed for any combination of modules, rooms, staff and so on.
