The University of the West Indies (The UWI) is pleased to announce the conferral of the title of ‘Emeritus’ on seven retired Professors. The decision on the conferrals was made during a virtual University Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held in late October.

At an investiture ceremony held on December 4, 2021, Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, conferred the Governor General's Faithful and Meritorious Award's highest honour, the Cross and Plaque, upon Vice-Chancellor of The University of the West Indies (The
